I know we are sounding like a broken record, but at the end of the day, we truly believe in the peace of mind that comes from strategies that embrace 100% on-or-off line access and total control.

New PROS: 

  • The voice to talk feature is amazingly accurate and will boost email and text productivity exponentially.
  • The 4GLTE wireless tether/hotspot has been super fast and convenient. No more dedicated air cards :)
  • Camera features and picture quality is A+. 

 New CONS: 

  • BATTERY LIFE IS YUCKY! You must keep a charger or fresh spare battery nearby at all times. Most average days use will drain the entire battery in 4-5 hours.

SUMMARY:

All in all, we really like the HTC Thunderbolt and give it a 8 out of 10. Cheers!

The HTC ThunderBolt from Verizon has just recently been released for sale at Verizon stores and online. FIRST LOOK: <Pros>So far I am fairly impressed with the Andriod v2.2 device. Definitely sick fast. The fact that it can simultaneously handle a voice call and stream wireless data as a hot spot for up to (5) nearby WiFi devices is reason enough to own it. We have also seen its ability to stream a LIVE Webex session while multitasking other apps at the 4G LTE kickoff event. <Cons> I was asked to help configure an IMAP account on a client's ThunderBolt on release day. Although it configured the account seamlessly over a local WiFi connection with ease, in the meantime the phone totally lost normal inbound/outbound phone call functionality. Further troubleshooting at the local Verizon service center found a lemon SIM card issue that had to be replaced. STAY TUNED: We will be acquiring a ThunderBolt next week to put it through some business power user testing... this should be fun. Cheers!
